left tennessee wednesday 5th around 4p and arrived in colorado thursday about 9p.
stayed two wonderful nights at j's in aurora then off to scott's in colorado springs whom i had never met but is a friend of jordan and crystal's.
he was a gracious host and interesting guy.
from tennessee to colorado it snowed the entire drive [boy am i glad to of gotten the heater working before i left] but the interstates were kept clear. saw a sign saying "Don't get Plowed" and pondered who would be "dumb enough to leave their car on the side of the road" or "what plow driver" would even consider hitting a car parked off the side of the interstate. suddenly - i come upon a plow driving 60 miles an hour with his blade barely off the surface of the shoulder. the plume of dirty snow he threw out was impressive. i learned the meaning of "Don't get Plowed".
slept for 5 hours in a missouri rest stop. pulled in around midnight and took me awhile to settle down and get to sleep.
around 6a there is a pounding on my car window.
some guy asking if i had cable - in very broken english. i glance at his van and see two more guys sitting there. i looked at him bewildered and drive off. as if i'm going to open my door to this. other than that the drive was uneventful.
